The idea of Ticket Exchange first came up in 2010, when purchasing tickets for some events was almost impossible as they were sold out in few hours or few minutes and there were only three possible ways to take part to the event:
- purchasing tickets on the marketplace at a high price
- purchasing tickets on social networks at the risk of being cheated
- purchasing ticktes from non-authorised sellers at the venus’entrance at the risk of being sold a fake ticket.
Furthermore, unexpected events like ilnnesses could cause a non-partecipation to the events and the consequent loss of money; in this case, the only chance of getting the money back was to give the ticket to a friend who could have sold it to an unknown person. This was difficult to achieve so most of the times the friend gave up without success.
As a consequence, our mission was to realise an alternative marketplace to protect ticket buyers through a clear and easy portal making PURCHASING and SELLING e-tickets safe, economical and ethical.
Ethical: setting a maximum price to avoid speculations
Clear and easy: it is easy to use TicketExchange even from smartphones.
Safe: protected online payments
Economical: low fees
This idea was not developed for a long time. It was kept stored away in a drawer until it was opened in 2016.
